Top Results with DermaSweep

Since we rolled out our new DermaSweep procedure and have been featured on CBS3 Eyewitness News, our clients have been coming into our offices in droves for this awesome procedure. The big differentiator between DermaSweep and regular microdermabrasion is the head in which the skin is exfoliated through. Instead of a diamond head, used for microdermabrasion, DermaSweep uses a bristles. The benefits of achieving exfoliation via a brush verses a diamond head are extraordinary. With a diamond head, exfoliation is not as even due to the dead skin cells accumulating on the head. When a brush is used, the dead skin cells are brushed away and a uniform and consistent exfoliation is achieved. The next huge difference between the two procedures is the second step with DermaSweep after abrasion. Next is the infusion. We infuse the freshly exfoliated skin with various nutrients and vitamins depending on skin type. For acne prone skin, salicylic acid is used For hyper pigmented skin, we use azelaic acid, kojic and licorice root. Lastly, for a more intense peel we have a monheit infusion that is a medium strength peel to help combat sun damage, large pores and of course just like with the other two processes fine lines.

We asked our Director of Skincare, Betsy Rubenstone about the results she is seeing with our DermaSweep clients and she was bursting with excitement.  To quote Betsy, “I have been practicing for 18 years and I am very rarely wowed by results when a patient walks back into the office a month or two after dermabrasion, but I am definitely wowed by the lasting results we are seeing with our DermaSweep clients.” Betsy also told us that these results are being achieved without the need to change a clients skincare routine. Betsy went on to tell us that she is currently doing about 12 DermaSweep procedures everyday.

If you have adult acne that you are having trouble keeping in check,  your hyper pigmented skin is giving you grief, or your skin is looking dull and could use a pick me up, this is definitely the perfect for you! Don’t hesitate to call for a skin consultation with one of our skilled estheticians.
